Analytics Tab

The Analytics tab offers an in-depth look at the player's performance from various perspectives, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of their performance. Here are the four main perspectives available:


  • Overall:
    • Impact:
      • What does it measure? Player impact on team performance: comparison of team performance with player on the ice - to team performance with player off the ice. 
      • What does is answer? How good is this player.
    • Impact on Volume: 
      • What does it measure? Player impact on team shot attempt share: comparison of team shot attempt share with player on the ice - to team shot attempt share with player off the ice.
      • What does it answer? Does the player contribute in reducing opponent and increasing own shooting volume.
    • Impact on Efficiency: 
      • What does it measure? Player impact on average danger of own and opponent shots.
      • What does it answer? Does the player contribute in reducing the opponent and increasing the own average danger per shot.
    • Breakout Under Pressure: 
      • What does it measure? Team performance within 10s after player in puck possession in DZ break out under pressure setting.
      • What does it answer? How good is the player in break out under pressure situations.
    • OZ Entry with Puck: 
      • What does it measure? Team performance within 10s after player entering OZ in puck possession.
      • What does it answer? How good is the player when entering the OZ.
  • Context:
    • DZ Starts: 
      • What does it measure? Over 50% of shifts start with face off. Of all shifts starting with face offs, ignoring all NZ face offs, what is the share of shift starts in DZ.
      • What does it answer? Is the deployment of the player more defensively than offensively?
    • Ice Time: 
      • What does it measure? Percentage of time with player on the ice.
      • What does it answer? How much ice time did the player get.
    • Coach’s Trust: 
      • What does it measure? Percentage of time with player on the ice with a close scoring state.
      • What does it answer? How much ice time did the player get in important situations.
    • Quality of Competition: 
      • What does it measure? Aggregate quality of opposition players on the ice - while player on the ice.
      • What does it measure? How much did the player play against top competition.
    • Quality of Teammates: 
      • What does it measure? Aggregate quality of own team players on the ice - while player on the ice.
      • What does it answer? How much did the player play with top peers.
  • Offense:
    • Impact:
      • What does it measure? Player impact on team offensive output: comparison of team offensive output with player on the ice - to team offensive output with player off the ice.
      • What does is answer? How good is this player offensively.
    • Impact on Volume: 
      • What does it measure? Player impact on shot attempt volume: comparison of team shot attempt volume with player on the ice - to team shot attempt volume with player off the ice.
      • What does it answer? Does the player contribute in increasing own shooting volume.
    • Impact on Efficiency: 
      • What does it measure? Player impact on shot danger: comparison of team shot danger with player on the ice - to team shot danger with player off the ice.
      • What does it answer? Does the player contribute to increasing the average danger per shot.
    • Rush Output: 
      • What does it measure? Team Off the Rush offensive output with player on the ice.
      • What does it answer? How well did this player contribute to the teams Off the Rush output.
    • Forecheck Output: 
      • What does it measure? Team Off the OZ Forecheck offensive output with player on the ice.
      • What does it answer? How good did this player contribute to the teams OZ Forecheck output.
    • OZ Output: 
      • What does it measure? Team Off OZ Sustained Puck Possession offensive output with player on the ice.
      • What does it answer? How good did this player contribute to the teams Off OZ Sustained Puck Possession output.
    • Volume Shooter: 
      • What does it measure? Player's shot attempt production per 60min.
      • What does it answer? Is the player a volume shooter.
    • On Target Volume: 
      • What does it measure? Player's shot on goal production per 60min.
      • What does it answer? Does the player bring shots on the net.
  • Defense:
    • Impact:
      • What does it measure? Player impact on team opponent offensive output: comparison of opponent offensive output with player on the ice - to opponent offensive output with player off the ice.
      • What does is answer? How good is this player defensively.
    • Impact on Volume: 
      • What does it measure? Player impact on shot attempt against volume: comparison of the opponent shot attempt volume with player on the ice - to opponent shot attempt volume with player off the ice.
      • What does it answer? Does the player contribute in decreasing opponent shooting volume.
    • Impact on Efficiency: 
      • What does it measure? Player impact on opponent shot danger: comparison of opponent shot danger with player on the ice - to opponent shot danger with player off the ice.
      • What does it answer? Does the player contribute in decreasing the average danger of the opponent shots.
    • Opponent Rush: 
      • What does it measure? Opponent Off the Rush output with player on the ice.
      • What does it answer? How good did this player reducing the opponents Off the Rush output.
    • Opponent Forecheck: 
      • What does it measure? Opponent Off the OZ Forecheck output with player on the ice.
      • What does it answer? How good did this player reduce the opponents OZ Forecheck output.
    • Opponent OZ: 
      • What does it measure? Opponent Off OZ Sustained Puck Possession output with player on the ice.
      • What does it answer? How good did this player reduce the opponents Off OZ Sustained Puck Possession output.
